The Marco Island Senior Softball League. . .
is a slow pitch softball league for men who have reached their 55th birthday and beyond. An emphasis is placed on participation with rules set in place to provide a competitive environment while making some allowances for the safety of the players. There are two divisions; the "Island Division" and the "Marco Division". Generally, the Island Division consists of the more skilled players, focused on the more competitive aspects of the game, while the Marco Division is just a slightly less competitive environment. The league represents a cross section of some of the finest individuals in our nation; all players pledge that goodwill and sportsmanship will remain at the forefront of every endeavor. Marco Senior Softball encourages the involvement of family members and friends. Many have found "softball" to be the nexus for extensive and long lasting social relationships. If you have attained your 55th birthday, will be a Marco area resident during January, February and March and would like to share in the fun, contact either Bill Shurina at billshurina@comcast.net or Bill Kashube at Kaschubewilliam@hotmail.com. |
